ISIE identified about 57.7 million dinars in its 2027 budget project, of which 30 million dinars were allocated to cover part of the expenses of the first round of legislative elections scheduled for next year. The agency's financial watchdog, Enas Glaidi, presented these estimates on Thursday at the Bardo Palace during a joint parliamentary session convened by the House of Representatives of the People and the National Council of Regions.

The basic budget of the body is 27.724 million dinars for 2027 versus 27.7 million dinars during 2026, an increase of 0.08%. Glacier explained this limited gap by following a trend aimed at maintaining the stability of continental spending and directing investments towards real priorities to ensure logistical readiness of polling stations.

The project included the monitoring of credits worth 3,544 million dinars directed to the investment program through 4 projects, including infrastructure and real estate development worth 2,050 million dinars, enhancement of logistics and technical equipment by about 594 thousand dinars, digital transformation and information infrastructure by 800 thousand dinars.

The joint session was attended by Board Member Mahmoud Wahoor and Executive Director Reza Al-Misawi. Glacier explained that financial estimates are based on protecting track quality, digitizing outcomes, preserving institutional memory, developing human resources and an international presence.

An additional 15 million dinars were allocated under the emergency and undistributed spending mission to keep blame-based credits only spent when necessary and in accordance with the consumption and field needs coordinates, allowing for the mobilization of resources in parallel with the actual implementation of the various stages of the upcoming election path.
