The government is restricting wage adjustments to applying the premiums of previous agreements
The state budget limits the revision of wages to the discounting of previous commitments and raises the minimum wage by 5% with automatic pension adjustment.

The Tunisian government has set a wage policy within the state budget to restrict increases in the disbursement of pre-stage premiums without approving new increases, in compliance with agreements previously concluded and drawn up for three years until 2028. This march was based on regulatory texts published by the official leader of the Tunisian Republic for regulating public financial balances.
Under these arrangements, it was decided to increase the guaranteed minimum wage and the guaranteed agricultural minimum wage by 5% to cover the various sectors concerned. Under this financial adjustment, the minimum wage for a 48-hour workweek system increased from 554,436 dinars to 582,400 dinars.
This financial procedure covers a wide range of pensioners through its direct impact on the existing social system. The automatically scheduled increase in pensions for National Social Security Fund pensioners, as well as the adjustment of disability, widows and orphan pensions legally linked to the development of guaranteed minimum wage levels, is being withdrawn.
The amendment to its legislative framework was based on the order issued by the Official Leader of the Republic of Tunisia, including Order No. 67 for 2026 on the minimum wage for non-agricultural sectors subject to the Journal of Labour.
The actual stream of these revised financial deadlines is expected to begin from January 2027 in anticipation of the completion of the final installment scheduled under this schedule early 2028.
