The fire caused the entire contents of the professors' hall to be damaged, along with damage to the teaching halls and power grid equipment, in parallel with the recording of the national flag disappearing from the institute's plaza. The attack prompted teachers to suspend classes and carry out a strike involving various preparatory, secondary and technical institutions in the local Regueb delegation in solidarity with the institute's educational framework and in protest at the repeated targeting of facilities.

Protesters called for urgent security and administrative intervention to stop the repeated attacks on the institution and provide protection for educators and students within the school space. The union structures representing educators demanded that special legislation be quickly enacted that criminalizes assault on educational institutions and their employees and provides the necessary criminal protection for the educational and administrative framework against incidents of violence and vandalism. These developments come amid a number of previous security and technical shortcomings suffered by the Tahir al-Hadid Institute, in the lead up to the complete disruption of surveillance cameras and the theft of two computers from the media hall. The institute has also witnessed repeated power outages as a result of damage to the main transformer after a lightning strike since 16 May 2024, making the facility vulnerable to successive violations without adequate protection.

Security units and criminal evidence teams began to encircle the institute's headquarters, carry out technical inspections and lift fingerprints from the affected sites, in preparation for identifying those involved in the burning and identifying legal responsibilities to refer them to the judiciary.
