The financial court has issued a prison warrant against Al-Qumdi's victory in Sidi Bouzid
An investigative judge sentences the alcoholic activist to prison on suspicion of money laundering and abuse of power involving officials and security personnel.

The First Investigative Judge of the Economic and Financial Judiciary, on Thursday 5 November 2026, issued a sentence of life imprisonment for the right to victory of al-Qumodi. The ruling came against the backdrop of research related to money laundering suspicions and conspiracy to exploit professional and social activities for illegal gains.
The list of prosecutions includes the alleged exploitation of a public servant's position to derive an undue benefit for himself or others and harm to management, as well as the violation of the procedures applicable to the relevant processes for obtaining undue benefits. Al-Qumodi had a summary hearing with the fiscal investigative judge before deciding to deposit his prison in parallel with his deposition at Sidi Bouzid's trial court.
The Bureau of Investigation has expanded this file to include several administrative and security parts, including the Director of Tourism for Trade and the head of an agency of the same administration, a Tourism Delegate, a financial controller, and performance management assistants, as well as commands, tires, security assistants and customs assistance to investigate possible facilities.
The facts of the case date back to May 2023, when the National Guard's Central Squadron arrested al-Qumodi, who was known for his extensive activity in the liquor trade in Sidi Bouzid state. Forensic research in the financial sector is continuing to uncover all branches linked to the financial and administrative transaction networks involved in the case.
