Military Court Sentences Al-Khatib to 4 Years in Prison and Fines Her

A military court in Tunisia sentenced Al-Khatib, the leader of the Third Republic Party, to four years in prison for two separate cases, with a fine of 80,000 dinars.

The court accused Al-Khatib of plotting against national security and inciting military personnel to refuse orders based on her Facebook posts.

The defense stated that the ruling is appealable, while the U.S. State Department is closely monitoring the case due to Al-Khatib's American citizenship.
