The data of the draft state budget for 2027 revealed that the appropriations allocated to the institution of the Presidency of the Republic have risen to 248.576 million dinars. The project was unveiled at Bardo's parliamentary headquarters during a joint hearing convened by representatives of the Foreign Relations, Investment and International Cooperation Committees of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People and the National Council of Governments and Regions.

The proposed budget registers an increase of 8.22% compared to 2026 adoptions which amounted to about 229.705 million dinars after approaching 229 million dinars in previous estimates. Rental expenses account for the largest share of total allocations of 179 million dinars, representing 72.25% of the total amount of presidential credits.

First Chancellor and President of the Republic, Murad Al-Hami, presented the details of the project to the two parliamentary committees, explaining that the rise in rental expenses is due to the upliftment of wages, settlement of arrangements and promotion within the institution. The rest of the loans were distributed between 36.660 million dinars allocated for circulation expenses, and about 20.5 million dinars for intervention expenses, along with other amounts allocated for investment.

This leap in funding for the Presidential Institution topped parliament's deliberations and discussions as the public budget study began.

These discussions continue as part of the constitutional and regulatory procedures for discussing the Finance and State Budget Bill 2027 in preparation for their referral to the General Meeting for final approval.
