The government has referred to parliament a draft State Finance and Budget Act for 2027, including an estimated total budget expenditures of about 68.895 billion dinars upon payment, against expected revenues of 54.280 billion dinars. This estimate reflects an 8.37% increase in spending compared to the 63.575 billion dinars enshrined in the 2026 Finance Act.

The project documents anticipate collecting geographical revenues of 49.6 billion dinars for the public treasury, resulting in a budget deficit of 14.615 billion dinars. The state intends to cover part of the financing needs by exempting the provisions of Section 25 of the Basic Law of the Central Bank, to license it to provide facilities to the Treasury interest amounting to 9.8 billion dinars without interest over 15 years.

On the operational level, the government plans to launch 32,557 new manpower schemes in various public service sectors over the next year. The Ministry of Education issued the list of arrangements with more than 5,800 plans, followed by the Ministry of Interior and Health, along with allocating 5,663 plans to settle a new subsidy of civilian workers.

The bill is addressed to the legislature in compliance with the constitutional bills and the provisions of the Basic Budget Law, which provide for the filing of financial bills before mid-October each year. This step is the official stage for the launch of Parliament's El Fahs of Proposed Financial Figures and Balances for the coming financial year.

The committees concerned by the Assembly of the Representatives of the People and the National Council of Local Authorities and Territories are expected to begin discussing and approving the terms of the project in joint public meetings, before the month of December 2026 enters into force at the beginning of the new year.
