Kais Saied called for an end to the crazy price hike and a counter-demonstration of a masked monopoly. These invitations came during a meeting of the President with the chairman of the National Chamber of Poultry Traders, Ibrahim Nafzawi.

The President of the Republic Kais Saied welcomed Prime Minister Sara Zaafrani Zenzri, Minister of the Interior Khalid al-Nuri and Minister of Trade and Export Development Samir Ebed to Carthage Palace. The meeting discussed ways to put an end to the continuing rise in prices and counteract the overwhelming monopoly on a number of agricultural products.
The president emphasized the need to counter the monopoly of turkeys whose sale price per kilogram from farmers is not more than one dinar.
