Security sequesters 30 sheets of cannabis in Sousse and finds him a suspect
Security units in South Sousse disrupt the promotion of a drug shipment on board a rental car after an ambush near Riyadh and take the suspects to court.

Southern Sousse security units in coordination with the Intervention Units seized 30 sheets of Indian cannabis and arrested a young man suspected of transporting and promoting the shipment. The operation took place on the evening of 31 October 2026 at the Riyadh neighbourhood intersection following a security ambush that ended the suspect's transport route in the area.
Security forces found a hidden quantity of drugs in a consumer-grade car used by the suspect, a young man born in 2002 descending from a local housing delegation, to facilitate his movements and distribution of the drugs. The intervention came after I pre-examined the movements of elements suspected of involvement in a network dealing with drug trafficking and importation into the country.
The Prosecutor General has authorized the detained person to be held and referred to the court for further investigation into the facts attributed to him, while the Judicial Police Unit continues field investigations to identify and track down the rest of the network. The operation comes amid a continuous security follow-up of the promotion networks in the region, where the state of Sousse on 18 October 2026 recorded a similar incident involving the seizure of a ranch owner with 29 sheets of Indian cannabis.
The case file is subject to legal proceedings approved in Tunisia under the provisions of Law No. 52 of 1992 regulating Schedule B drug possession, promotion and trafficking offences, while competent teams await the results of the seizure to track potential extensions of the network.
