University Services Directorate Provides Clarifications on Student’s Death in Sfax

The general director of the Southern University Services Directorate, Zaker Rhouayi, confirmed that the calls and surveillance camera recordings are documented and are under the custody of the judicial authorities to determine the timing of medical intervention and emergency response.

Rhouayi also acknowledged the structural shortage of medical staff in student dormitories due to the failure of nurse recruitment.

The public prosecutor's office of the Sfax first instance court opened an investigation following the general strike called by the General Union of Tunisian Students demanding health units.
