The Tunisian electricity and gas company in the state of Béja cut off electricity today Sunday 1 November 2026 from several areas and villages in the local municipality of Téboursouk. The company set a two-hour supply interruption period from 10 a.m. to noon local time.

The temporary suspension of the service included 11 districts and villages under the local delegation, namely Ain Neti, Children's Shepherds, Samples, Rainbow, Fruit Well, and Caves. As the disruption lasted, residential neighborhoods in the area included both the playground neighborhood, Murad's eye, the vineyard eye, Renaissance, and Nissim.

The company reintroduced this procedure to carry out regular and programmed maintenance work for the distribution network at discrete points, as well as providing space for technical teams to complete craftsmen and new subscribers connecting to the local network.

The local authority of Téboursouk's local delegation had issued an official warning notice on Saturday 31 October 2026 to alert citizens and residents to take their necessary precautions before starting work. This intervention falls within the organisational competence of the organisation responsible for the maintenance of low and medium voltage networks and energy distribution.

Technical teams are scheduled to start supplying all the areas, villages and neighbourhoods with electricity gradually once the specified field work is completed.
