Former mayor of Zahrat, Ryan al-Hamzaoui, published his first social media post after his release from prison. He spent three years in prison in the 'conspiracy against state security' case. He was released in May after serving three years in prison.
In his post, al-Hamzaoui stated that the three years in prison did not affect his spirit or his faith. The original sentence was 12 years in prison for conspiracy against state security, but it was overturned and he was released.
