AS Marsa is hiring Frenchman Gérard Bouchar as artistic director

The governing body of the future sports club La Marsa in the suburb of La Marsa, Tunisia, decided on Wednesday 4 November 2026, to appoint French coach Gérard Bouchar as the club's artistic director. This appointment seeks to oversee the various Chebba varieties and restructure the formation system and technical framework of the team during the next phase.

The new technical director's duties include leading the technical management and monitoring the work of various Sunni groups to ensure joint technical coordination and developing a comprehensive strategy for talent development. The decision is mainly aimed at updating the system of athletic preparation and basic formation through the application of uniform training programmes between different trainers.

This regulatory procedure is based on the administrative and legal powers granted to the Club's Board of Directors in managing its artistic and sporting affairs, where management relies on Bouchar's previous experience of overseeing artistic projects and rearranging the interior.

The French coach previously oversaw the first team training of AS Marsa between December 2010 and June 2013, then returned to take over the technical duties of the team during the 2015-2016 season. Bouchar has also accumulated multiple previous experiences in managing technical departments of football teams and academies in Tunisia and abroad at various times.

The new artistic director expects to embark on his field duties within the club in the next few days to implement the agreed work plan and set up the artistic programs for the youth teams in direct coordination with the training teams working in different categories.
