Abeer Moussi Warns of Plot to Physically Eliminate Her in Prison

Opposition Destourian Party leader Abeer Moussi has warned of a plot to physically eliminate her while in custody in Gafsa. In a message sent from Blarigia prison in Gafsa to the national and international public, Moussi stated that the last hope for those behind a political assassination plot is to eliminate and physically eliminate her to achieve the condition of vacancy at the head of the party, given her insistence on challenging exclusion and not waiting for any lack of resolve or automatic abandonment of the responsibility she carries.

The Court of Cassation confirmed a 12-year and 6-month prison sentence for Moussi in the 'Police Office' and 'Election Commission 2' cases on September 29. Moussi also warned of a replay of the scenario of dissolving the assembly, referring to her party.

Moussi emphasized that the last hope for those behind the plot is to eliminate and physically eliminate her, and that she will not wait for any lack of resolve or automatic abandonment of the responsibility she carries, insisting on challenging exclusion.
