Tunis Court Sentences 31-Year Prison Terms for Drug Trafficking and Bribery Network

The Fourth Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance in Tunis has issued prison sentences ranging from 21 to 31 years for a criminal network active in the capital's Sidi Hussein district. The network included former public servants as well as drug dealers.

The charges upheld by the court included the formation of an illegal gang, assault on persons and property, and accepting bribes.

Extensive security and judicial investigations led to the dismantling of the network's cells and the arrest of the suspects after monitoring their illegal activities.
