L.A. Hospital is transmitting the surgery with a microscope on live broadcast
Associated University Hospital in Tunis, the capital, uses live broadcasting of a precise surgery to enhance medical education and clinical training programs for resident physicians.

The Associated University Hospital in Tunis, the capital, conducted an educational and medical experiment that included direct transfer of a precise microscopic surgery from inside the operating room to the smart science meeting room. This initiative, the first of its kind within that hospital institution, was announced by the Tunisian Regional Health Administration on 1 November 2026.
This joint event was organized in cooperation between the hospital and the National Board of Pathology, ear, nose, throat, face and neck surgery. This technology enabled medical frames and resident physicians to follow the various stages of the surgical intervention and learn its precise technical and scientific details interactively and instantly.
This experience is part of the regulatory and legal framework for continuing medical formation, higher health education and professional development programmes for medical frames in the public health sector. The initiative aims to disseminate interactive medical education technologies and transfer knowledge and experience between public-private health competencies.
This process was based on an earlier course of technological development within the hospital that included the inauguration of a smart scientific meeting hall and equipping the operating rooms with modern digital imaging equipment to support training. The loyal plan is to continue adopting live broadcasting for advanced surgical interventions to train Chebba medical personnel and expand the use of digitalization in clinical programs.
