EU Ambassador to Tunisia, Giuseppe Biondi, confirmed the ongoing bilateral negotiations on the file of red shrimp fishing and the quotas allocated.
He explained that the ongoing discussions within the framework of the Mediterranean Fisheries Commission aim to resolve issues related to overfishing and export quotas.
Ambassador Biondi highlighted that the red shrimp is a shared marine resource that requires protection measures to prevent overexploitation and ensure sustainability.
He also noted that the trade balance between the two sides shows a surplus in favor of Tunisia worth seven and a half billion dinars.
