Successful Resolution of Fishing Vessel Crisis and Its Repatriation to Italian Port of Cieza

The authorities successfully resolved the crisis of a Tunisian fishing vessel that had been stranded for four days and repatriated it to the Italian port of Cieza.

The crew of the vessel, consisting of sailor Ahmed Fenni and six other sailors, had been stranded at sea since last Saturday due to a sudden mechanical failure.

Sailor Ahmed Fenni refused to leave the vessel for four days in the open sea without ensuring the repatriation process to avoid sinking.

The authorities began arranging for the safe return of the vessel and its crew to national ports once the consular procedures were completed.
