Security arrested a suspect in organizing an immigration to Moknine
Monastir State security units are tracking a person wanted in 12 search warrants for a field ambush on suspicion of conducting cruise missions.

National Security Zone units in Moknine, Monastir State arrested a person suspected of involvement in organizing irregular maritime migration to European coasts on Friday morning, October 30. The operation came after field follow-up and an ambush that led to the arrest of the suspect and the end of his escape.
Identity-checks showed the suspect was the subject of 12 search warrants issued by various judicial and security agencies. These proceedings relate to the involvement in organizing and assisting smooth sailing operations, along with charges related to multiple civil rights cases that were being tracked and pursued by competent authorities.
Tracking and arrest procedures in this area are based on the provisions of Law No. 40 of 1975 and its amendments relating to travel passports and travel documents, where Tunisian legislation criminalizes the regulation and seamless crossing of borders and providing assistance to those wishing to leave the country outside official routes.
The security teams will proceed to complete the initial investigation with a view to revealing all the details of the activities attributed to him, before referring him to the Public Prosecutor's Office for appropriate judicial decisions and proceedings.
