Siliana State opens the door to 45 new diving licenses
The air authorities in Siliana have opened the door to accepting applications for 45 passenger taxi licenses and allocating a quota for disabled people.

Siliana State has today opened the door for 45 new licenses to conduct irregular public transportation activities for people by taxi. This procedure involves granting licenses to operate transport lines within and beyond the provincial boundaries.
The total declared share is divided into 28 licences for operation outside the provincial boundaries, against 17 internal line-directed licences. The local authorities allocated 2% of the total allowances to persons with disabilities who meet the statutory requirements.
The process of opening nominations is based on the regulatory legal framework for irregular land transport, in particular number 581 for 2023, which sets the conditions for issuing licenses and distributing dividends to various bodies. These licenses are intended to respond to the needs of strengthening the transport fleet and to meet the demands of professionals after previous periods of freezing and regulatory issues with licensing.
The governorate has determined on 4 January 2027 as the last date for accepting candidates' applications, that claims should be submitted directly to the central control office at the governorate headquarters. Subsequently, the Transport Advisory Committee will sort and study the submitted documents in advance of announcing the final lists of recipients.
