Tunisian Hospitality Catering University Warns of 2027 Budget Bill Taxes

The Tunisian Hospitality Catering University has warned of the potential negative impact of proposed tax increases in the 2027 budget bill.

President of the university, Habib Ben Mousa, stated that Article 24 of the proposed bill calls for additional consumption taxes on alcoholic beverages.

Ben Mousa explained that this tax measure is expected to have a negative impact on the cost of services and the hospitality and classified restaurants sectors.

The hospitality sector is awaiting parliamentary discussions on the bill to reach a compromise that takes into account the sector's balance.
