8 million tourists welcomed to the country since the beginning of 2026

The country has welcomed more than 8 million tourists since the beginning of 2026, according to data from the National Tourism Office. The sector, however, has seen a slight decline in some statistical indicators compared to previous periods. Tourism officials attribute this recorded decline to operational challenges faced by the field activities.
