General University of Secondary Education Calls for Resolution of Maintenance Issues in Schools

In the education sector, the General University of Secondary Education has highlighted the ongoing disruption of renovation projects in many Tunisian schools and institutions. The general secretary of secondary education, Mohamed Chafai, confirmed that maintenance work is continuing despite the start of the academic year and disruptions to the normal flow of classes.

Chafai also pointed out that the delay in the work has led to a severe overcrowding in classrooms and protests in some educational institutions. The trade unions are calling for urgent intervention by the relevant ministry to complete the maintenance work and provide suitable teaching conditions for students and teachers.
