Tunisia's municipality and security detain hundreds of wagons in a campaign against anarchism
Security forces and the municipality are carrying out a field intervention in two city districts and Sidi El Béchir to confiscate unlicensed trade equipment and remove ramp-up points.

The Municipality of Tunisia, in cooperation with the National Security Units and the municipal police, carried out a large-scale field campaign during the night between Thursday and Friday in two city districts and Sidi El Béchir in the capital. The operation aimed to eliminate the manifestations of anarchy and liberate the common public pier after recording frequent excesses in the use of passing space.
The joint field intervention resulted in the reservation of 535 handheld iron and wooden wagons dedicated to the display of goods, along with the removal of 289 points that were witnessing illegal exploitation of public spaces. Supervisory teams also seized a cargo of five large trucks of wooden and iron barriers that were used to occupy the road without a legal permit.
Reservations also included quantities of goods offered outside legal frameworks, where units booked a load of three trucks of used clothing, as well as a load of two trucks of unsolicited office supplies. All seized equipment and goods were transferred directly to the Municipal Reservation Warehouse in order to complete the necessary administrative and warehousing procedures.
These joint moves were based on the regulated legal framework for public ownership, hygiene and public health, as well as municipal police laws prohibiting parallel and unlicensed trade. These measures come to regulate distribution channels within markets and facilitate traffic after increasing demonstrations of seizure of sidewalks and roads in the vicinity of large commercial conglomerates.
Security and municipal teams continue to conduct joint patrols around the central markets and two intervention districts with the aim of preventing the return of violated sellers and ensuring the orderly movement of pedestrians and pedestrians in the area.
