The referral of Elyes Chaouachi to the Criminal Chamber for terrorism cases
Elyes Chaouachi, the son of opposition politician Ghazi Chaouachi has been referred to the Criminal Chamber for terrorism cases, in a court-martial against the backdrop of his social media posts and videos.
The case is the result of investigations by the anti-terrorism judiciary on terrorism-related charges, but no verdict has been issued. This case comes against the backdrop of a lawsuit involving members of the Shawashi family, where his father Ghazi Chaouachi is imprisoned in what is known as the conspiracy case on state security on state security.
