The board of directors of the Bench Club is resigning due to a financial claim by a village heir
The management of the Panzer Sports Club announces its final withdrawal after a legal notice requiring it to pay 1.4 million dinars within 5 days in favour of the ex-president's successor.

The temporary governing body of the Panzer Sports Club, headed by Riad Madad, announced its collective resignation in Bizerte on Friday 30 October 2026. The final withdrawal decision came after the club's management received a legal warning from the heir of the late former club president Ahmed Al-Quray to demand repayment of debts incurred by the association.
The legal notice ensures that the authority is obliged to pay a total amount of 1.4 million dinars for a maximum of 5 days. The legal representative of the heir shall prohibit the disposal of the funds of the association and initiate criminal proceedings against club officials if the deadline expires without settling the required amount.
The Authority confirmed that it had decided to raise its resignation to the governor of Bizerte after its efforts reached a deadlock and was unable to provide such a large financial commitment in the narrow time period granted to it. The management explained that this decision puts the club in front of a new administrative vacancy given the difficulty of managing the liquidity required to close the file.
The village's family lawyer offered the possibility of giving up half the disputed financial receipts in order to make way for a satisfactory settlement that would resolve the dispute between the parties and ease the financial pressure on the treasury.
These receivables are derived from old financial disputes recorded during the administrative periods between 2007 and 2008 and 2009, and include original debt, litigation costs and accumulated arrears over the past years.
At the next stage, attention is focused on the moves of local authorities in coordination with stakeholders of the Panzerte Sporting Club, in order to form a new temporary governing body or to speed up the appointment of a general election session to run the association and overcome the administrative crisis.
