Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies Begins 2027 Budget Discussion

The Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies has commenced its first preparatory session to review the 2027 state budget at the Carthage Palace.

The budget document estimates state revenues at 54.28 billion dinars, while expenditures are projected at 68.89 billion dinars.

The economic balance sheet aims for a 3.1% growth rate, assuming an oil price of 80 dollars per barrel.

Committee Chair Maher al-Katari noted that the project encourages investment but includes provisions that could negatively impact the national industry and require review.

Further sessions will be held to discuss the project before it is referred to the criminal chamber of the parliament.
