The court has postponed Al-Jazeera's robbery case to Nov. 19

The Criminal Chamber for Financial Corruption in the Tunisian Primary Court has decided to postpone the hearing of the case related to the arbitration file of the late businessman Al-Azhar Shaba to a hearing on November 19. The decision to postpone came as a result of the lack of full legal standing of the ruling judiciary body to consider the defence language payments and legal claims.

Before the court, she represented the former head of the Truth and Dignity Commission (TRD) Sheikh bin Sadrin on parole, along with the former chairman of the arbitration and reconciliation commission, Khalid Kerichi, who is in custody. Forensic research is blaming law enforcement officials for exploiting the characteristics of the activity, misrepresenting data and damaging public funds.

The facts of the case relate to suspicions of breaches and violations of the peace and arbitration agreement signed with the late Azhar during the agency's tenure. The official investigation was launched following a comprehensive review and audit of the course of the arbitration and reconciliation files completed in the transitional justice process.

The background of this file is the review of the work of the Truth and Dignity Body's Arbitration Committees established by Basic Law No. 53 of 24 December 2013 on the establishment and regulation of transitional justice. The next procedural step in the court's full settlement is at its November 19 hearing to begin hearing pleadings and reject legal claims.
