Gafsa Caravans is asking for financial support to save the club from bankruptcy

The Gafsa Athletic Caravan Association's Board of Directors issued an emergency call on 5 November 2026 in the city of Gafsa, to save the club from a financial crisis that threatened its sporting activity with complete stoppage. In an official statement, the management confirmed its complete failure to conduct day-to-day business, warning of the implications of a lack of liquidity on future team commitments.

The agency explained that the team was facing a shortage in its various activities due to accumulated debts, rising expenses and lack of the necessary resources for management. She pointed out that the current situation threatens to disrupt the official activity and deny the club the remainder of the tournament.

The management of the club demanded that the economic and mining institutions in the sector, led by Gafsa, immediately intervene financially and provide sustained and rapid support.

The governing body's legal framework is based on the rules governing sports associations under the umbrella of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF), which obliges clubs to ensure financial balance to meet their contractual commitments. During previous seasons, the club experienced repeated financial difficulties due to declining public resources and declining sponsorship contracts allocated to the association.

Club fans are currently waiting for moves from the authorities responsible in the province to surround the crisis before the team resumes its official competitive commitments. Avoiding shutdowns and securing upcoming interviews remains a pledge to the speed with which economic and aviation authorities respond to liquidity injection demands.
