Workshop Discusses Energy Efficiency Project in Bab Soudoun

In the energy and health sectors, a workshop discussed the feasibility study for a central heating and cooling network in the health district of Bab Soudoun in the capital. The workshop was organized with the participation of the Ministry of Health and the National Agency for Energy Control, and was funded by the African Development Bank.

The model project aims to reduce energy consumption by 40 percent for 17 healthcare institutions and facilities, and to reduce emissions. Technical arrangements are ongoing to launch the plan and update air conditioning systems in targeted hospitals.
