Tunisia Marks National and International Day for Organ Donation Awareness

Tunisia is celebrating the national and international day for organ donation awareness amid a steady rise in the number of patients on waiting lists.

Organ donation and transplantation have seen gradual improvements in recent years, supported by awareness campaigns and increased community solidarity.

National coordinator for organ donation Buthaina Znoud said that donation is the primary option for saving hundreds of lives.

Health institutions emphasized the importance of raising public awareness to facilitate organ transportation procedures and alleviate patients' suffering in hospitals.
