Members of the Étoile Sportive du Sahel are demanding that the Supreme Court suspend the extraordinary hearing

A number of coastline star athletes, representing attorney Karim Mossad, have filed an urgent lawsuit in court to stop the extraordinary public hearing. This lawsuit is aimed at the sitting scheduled for Saturday 7 November 2026 at the Assembly Hall on Kalâa Seghira Road in Sousse.

The legal complaint was based on what the participants considered to be an exaggeration of the regulatory authority's powers to propose a revision and amendment of clauses in the club's basic law. The plaintiffs consider that the powers of the provisional body do not allow it to initiate changes to the legal texts governing the work of the sports association.

Karim Mudavid explained that the lawsuit demanded the termination of the hearing convened by the team's supervisory board. On the contrary, the Authority confirms that the project is aimed at creating a new support body to monitor financial conduct and avoid administrative crises for the management team, noting that the proposal essentially subjects the managing bodies to continuous oversight and adjustment of the conditions for joining this new structure under the amendment.

The governing body of the club, through the secretary-general, had invited to this session for the purpose of negotiating and approving the revision and review of some sections of the basic law of the association. This invitation coincided with the appointment of the same governing body, 7 November 2026, to hold an extraordinary general election session to elect a new board of directors to fill the parliamentary term of the group.

The next step is to wait for the urgent ruling of the separation court to continue the extraordinary session on its appointed date or suspend its proceedings.
