Tunisian Dinar Hits Historical Low Against the US Dollar

The Tunisian dinar has hit a historical low, reaching 3.0073 dinars against the US dollar according to official data from the Central Bank of Tunisia. At the same time, foreign currency reserves have fallen to around 23.8 billion dinars, covering only 93 days of imports.

Economic experts warn of the ongoing trade deficit and the increasing demand for foreign currency to fund essential imports and energy.
