The food trade balance records a surplus of 919.8 million dinars

This figure is higher than the same period in 2025, when the surplus amounted to 621.3 million dinars.

Export coverage for imports was 116.3% with Mufi in September 2026, compared to 112.8% during the same period last year.

The National Observatory for Agriculture returned this 48% increase in surplus value to olive oil export earnings, plus the recorded development in timber shipments overseas.

On the other hand, economic pressures on imports of basic materials into local markets, especially grain, vegetable oils and sugar, continue.
