The National Security Squad in Sousse, today 5 November 2026, has stopped a contingent of about 10 inspectors after a security ambush was set up in the Ghazzah area. The field operation came after monitoring the relevant movements and accurately identifying its location in one of the residential areas of the said area.

Security data indicates that the suspect is pursuing the interests of security units and the judiciary in order to be involved in multiple cases including robbery and extreme violence. It was tracked based on accurate intelligence received from the relevant units and reportedly contained within the said area to try to hide from view.

Sousse's National Security Region units began their field investigations and intelligence work to determine the whereabouts of the person being searched before his officers intervened. The siege plan and the ambush resulted in him being arrested directly in the neighborhood where he was hiding without recording any minor incidents during his capture.

This process falls within the scope of prosecuting elements who have issued warrants of searches and ongoing judicial cases in violent assault and robbery crimes in Sousse, with the aim of enforcing the arrest cards and prosecutions issued against them.
