On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the Minister of Planning and Housing, Salah Al-Zawari, presented a draft budget of the Ministry for 2027 estimated at about 2249 million dinars. This came during a joint hearing held by the Committee on Strategic Planning, Sustainable Development, Transport, Infrastructure and Urban Planning to consider the ministry's mission within the draft state budget.

The proposed budget registers an increase of 99 million dinars compared to 2026 when loans reached 2150 million dinars, which represents an increase of 4.6%. Investment expenses are affected by the surplus share of these allocations, which was set at 1850 million dinars, representing 82.3% of the Ministry's total appropriations.

The remaining expenditure is allocated between interventions, rent and management, with 199 million dinars allocated to interventions at a rate of 8.8%. A total of 130 million dinars, representing 5.8%, was allocated for rental expenditures, while administrative expenditures were estimated at about 67 million dinars or 3%, plus 3 million dinars were allocated for financial operations expenditures at 0.1% of the budget.

This budget is part of the general directions of the 2026-2030 development plan, as part of the Ministry's continued implementation of programmes and development of its interventions in the manufacturing, housing and infrastructure sectors. Official estimates indicate that mission expenses will continue to evolve over the coming years, where they are expected to rise to 2365 million dinars in 2028, and then to 2450 million dinars during 2029.
