The Air Traffic Control Institute is forecasting thunderstorms and fluctuations across several areas

The National Institute of Meteorology announced the recording of air fluctuations starting on the night of Thursday 5 November 2026, characterized by occasional heavy clouds accompanied by sporadic rainfall and temporary thunderstorms in the northern and central western regions. These climatic fluctuations extend through the last hours of the night to include the eastern coastal areas and the tribal homeland.

Weather factors during Friday, November 6, witness the emergence of transient hail across the country, being locally dense in the extreme north and southeast with scattered rainfall and temporary thunderstorms. Winds blow from the northern sector in the northern and central regions, while from the eastern sector in the southern regions with noticeable activity near the coast.

The institute explained that maximum temperatures record relatively stable overall between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius in most places, while falling to a limit of 19 degrees above the western highlands. Temperatures on Thursday ranged between 19 and 23 degrees north and about 16 degrees west, compared with 25 to 29 degrees in the rest of the region. These developments come after a day of cloud density over the northern and central western regions before the rainy cloud area expands eastward. This was accompanied by a disturbance in sea conditions, particularly in the Gulf of Tunis and Hammamet where the sea was turbulent versus slightly disturbed weather on other coasts.

Wet weather indicators continue during subsequent periods with rainy and thunderclouds concentrating in extreme northern and southeastern regions, amid a continuous follow-up of drift movements along the coastline and highlands.
