A Tunisian girl who died on the evening of Thursday, November 5, 2026, was found severely injured during armed clashes in the western Libyan town of Cornea. The head of the Tunisian Observatory for Human Rights, Mustafa Abdul al-Khabar, announced the news of her death, noting that the incident occurred as a result of clashes within the city.

Local media reported that the girl, who was unidentified and carrying a pseudonym, was in a car while walking through the city streets. The carriage was heavily and directly shot by armed forces, resulting in serious injuries that later led to her death, affected by bleeding and injuries.

The same reports pointed out that the brutal attack is attributed to the leaders of armed groups described as outlawed, in the absence of definite and official details about the real motives for firing or targeting that armored vehicle specifically.

This coincides with security unrest and frequent tensions in the town of Cornea near the Tunisian border, where the region is experiencing renewed clashes and confrontations between armed groups fighting for influence and control and affecting traffic and residential areas.
