The football university appoints a governing body for gymnastics
The governing body includes Chairman Qasim and Deputy Chairman Mohammad Al-Hihi as part of the decision to lift the freeze on indoor football.
This designation comes after a joint working session that brought together the parties concerned to consider ways to reorganise this sporting activity and prepare for the next stage.
The new composition of the tourism body includes Qasim in the plan of a president and Mohammad Al-Haihi as vice president, along with membership of both Salem Karim and Ogdi Dardor. The university explained that the task force will begin its tasks as soon as the official mandate from the university office is issued.
The joint meeting was held under the supervision of National Art Director Dr. Reza Gadi and University Office member Khomeis Hamsawi, where the discussion focused on the mechanisms for re-sending and managing the activity and identifying the priorities of the designated body to restructure competitions. This action follows an earlier official decision taken by the University Office on 1 October 2025, when it decided to lift the freeze on indoor football after a period of suspension of its official competitions and discontinuation.
The university has invited clubs wishing to participate in the 2026-2027 sports season to follow its official page, announcing that it will publish a detailed text specifying the terms and procedures for participation in Ibanian.
