The Department of Commerce announces a 20% discount on large areas

The Ministry of Trade and Export Development has approved additional special discounts of 20% launched today Saturday 7 November 2026 in major commercial spaces, and continue until Sunday 8 November 2026. This move was organized in co-ordination with representatives of large areas with the aim of alleviating the burden of price inflation and reducing the high cost of living for citizens.

The list of items involved in these discounts included a wide range of basic daily consumer products that families accept to purchase periodically. The reduced-price targeted products included ready-to-cook chicken, along with varied milk and yogurt derivatives in packs of 160 and 260 grams, as well as the provision of sweets such as cream desserts in various sizes, along with specific types of biscuits and juices on display in public wings.

These business procedures were distributed in full coordination with the large-scale departments to apply the specified discount rate throughout the weekend at all their sales points. The relevant sources explained that the adoption of this new series of discounted prices focuses directly on widely consumed products with the aim of making them available to consumers at competitive and affordable prices. These exceptional reductions come to absorb the economic repercussions of high prices and high food and consumer goods costs that have weighed heavily on families, as repeated interventions seek to stimulate the movement of large consumer markets and reduce price margins in the most sought-after and traded among households.
